Playstation 3 Outsells Xbox 360 Again
Please note for those keeping score at home, we’re now 2 for 2 in 2008.
PlayStation 2 351.8K
PlayStation 3 280.8K
PlayStation Portable 243.1K
Xbox 360 254.6K
Nintendo DS 587.6K
Wii 432K
Someone needs to hire me as an analyst immediately. That’s right folks. Those of you who listen to the podcast know what I have been saying all along about 2008: The Playstation 3 is officially a player in the market big time. Let’s have a look shall we at the February NPDs. The Wii still proves itself uncatchable and with the release of Brawl and Mario Kart imminent that likely will not change. Meanwhile, in March Sony has GT5 Prologue coming along as well as sharing the release of the highly anticipated GTAIV. Here’s the thing, in March I expect much of the same because until who knows when Microsoft lacks a good exclusive title to their console for the time being.
I don’t want to go on too much of a rant here but let’s face it. The new leadership is not getting it done in the sales department and if they aren’t careful the light snow fall will quickly turn into an avalanche. In fact, the next time I foresee the Xbox 360 outselling the PS3 as of this minute is sometime during the holiday season. At this point, even that is uncertain.

Talk about a long forecast - too bad the weatherman isn’t as good.
